Cybersecurity awareness game

Traditional cybersecurity training often falls short in education. It’s too abstract, too technical, or simply forgotten. Phantom’sLab changes the game. It’s an immersive and realistic experience tailored to school staff—no technical background required.

One of the biggest risks? “Principal fraud.” Using deepfake voice messages or fake emails, cybercriminals impersonate the school director, IT manager, or local authorities—manipulating teachers or admin staff into opening harmful links, transferring money, or exposing data.

What participants will face

Social engineering and OSINT research.

Phishing email analysis and detection.

Password puzzles & MFA bypass scenarios.

CEO fraud via audio deepfake.

Tailgating and physical access.

Decision-making under time pressure.

In Phantom’sLab, you take on the role of the attacker and try to hack your own school. You’ll manipulate colleagues, exploit routine habits, and expose digital blind spots—all within a safe, playful, and school-appropriate simulation. Want to make your organisation truly resilient and turn cybersecurity awareness into training your team actually enjoys?

The game

The game features 8 interactive levels and a final awareness exam, tailored to the primary school environment. Here are four examples:

  • #1 – Reconnaissance & Research: You investigate what information is publicly available about your staff—LinkedIn, social posts, newsletters. What can hackers learn about your school with just 10 minutes of searching?
  • #3 – Phishing: An email from “schooldirectie@schoolnaam.nl” asks to approve an urgent transfer. It looks real. But is it?
  • #6 – Command & Control: A stranger slips through the school entrance during pickup time. Using real layouts and photos from your school, this level shows how physical access becomes a cyber risk.
  • #7 – Actions on objectives: A deepfake message from the board asks for quick access to student data. Would your team verify—or act too fast?
