Meet Veerle Peeters. Former Director of Cyber Governance at Deloitte and PwC, criminologist by background, and a leading voice on the human side of cybersecurity. With over 20 years of experience, Veerle helps organizations move beyond awareness and translate cyber risk into real behavior change.
Veerle’s work focuses on what truly drives cyber risk: human behavior, pressure, and decision making in complex environments. Trained as a criminologist and shaped by years of experience in large organizations, she understands how manipulation works, why people make the wrong choices, and what it takes to change behavior in practice.
Her approach combines cybersecurity expertise, psychology, and strategy to make risk tangible and change sustainable.
This perspective is exactly why Veerle found her place at Phantom’sLab. In 2025, she joined the leadership team to help shape an approach where cybersecurity is experienced, not explained.

She contributes to defining learning objectives, validating scenarios, and ensuring that cyber content reflects real-world risk and human behavior. Her role is to safeguard depth, relevance, and credibility across the experience, from concept to execution.
