Creating cybersecurity awareness that works for everyone in the organization, regardless of their existing knowledge level or technical background. We needed an approach that would elevate awareness across all departments while keeping people genuinely engaged. The challenge was finding the right balance between delivering essential security messages and maintaining an experience that felt valuable to both novices and those already familiar with digital threats.
The game generated mixed reactions, which reflected the diverse nature of our teams and their varying levels of existing cybersecurity knowledge. What stood out most was how the competitive element made the experience more enjoyable and effective for participants. The live leaderboard and team dynamics created energy and motivation that you don’t typically see in standard training sessions.
The real value emerged afterwards. The game sparked numerous conversations about cybersecurity throughout the organization, with colleagues discussing scenarios, sharing insights, and questioning their own digital habits. For some departments, the game hit exactly the right note in terms of length and depth. For others, particularly those with higher baseline awareness, the core message came through clearly and effectively but could have been delivered more concisely. This variation in response highlighted an important insight: different teams need different levels of depth when it comes to security training.
